Terrible experience- got ghosted after multi-stage interview process:
I had never even heard of Verisure. It was them who approached me for what was described as a confidential replacement role, allegedly to replace an underperforming team member. I agreed to interview with them.
Over the next two months, I attended multiple in-person interviews, requiring repeated travel to their office. I interviewed for over an hour each with the recruitment team, sales team and even the UK Country Head. A fourth round was discussed but never scheduled due to the interviewer falling sick.
All interviews went extremely well, and I consistently received strong positive signals that I was exactly the kind of profile they were seeking. Despite the slow process, I reasonably expected a professional conclusion.
Instead, what followed was complete radio silence!
For almost FOUR months, I sent polite follow-ups requesting closure—even if the outcome was negative—without a single response. Only after sending a strongly worded email did I finally receive a call casually informing me that the role had been filled internally.
They also themselves admitted that their Glassdoor ratings had historically been very poor, until they ran a campaign urging employees post only positive reviews.
From what I observed - they are striggling with high attrition, unclear team structures and the UK leadership team seems to lack clear direction. There is an overreliance on replicating the France office(which is more established) for everything, rather than defining a coherent local strategy.
Ghosting candidates for months after asking them to invest significant time, travel, and effort into a multi-stage, face-to-face interview process reflects a serious lack of respect.
All I can say is I am thankful for dodging this bullet and would advise others also to stay away from such companies.
