Candidatei-me online. O processo levou 4 dias. Fui entrevistado pela Verkada (San Mateo, CA) em jan. de 2020
Entrevista
I applied to a role at Verkada and was contacted by one of their sales specific recruiters to set up a pre-screen call.
Verkada looks to be a great opportunity but their recruiting process leaves a bit to be desired. The recruiter I spoke with seemed to be very junior and at times bordered on the unprofessional. At one point the recruiter mentioned another Account Executive from my former company was interviewing with them as well, and being as I was with a smaller organization, it was not hard to figure out specifically who that was. I would not want that information disclosed about me to a co-worker.
The recruiter did not know much about the role itself, and admitted as much, but also did not seem to be experienced in interviewing higher level sales professionals. Much of the information she gave to me about the role was company hype and very general, the recruiter was unable to answer even some basic questions I had about the role. I also felt her questions of me did not help her understand my value as a salesperson and are a big part of the reason I felt she was inexperienced in sales recruiting. Even her basic qualifying questions missed the mark a bit. The recruiter was very pleasant though as a person.
Ultimately they chose not to move me forward in the process after the initial phone screen. Up until this point I would have listed my interview experience as more neutral than negative. However, when asked for any feedback they could provide on their reasoning for not moving forward I was told it was company policy not to elaborate. Because of this and earlier borderline unprofessional behavior I would list my overall experience with Verkada as negative.

Awesome great company going to interview for different role , guy was super nice and answered all my questions. Asked about systems I used. Told me I would be better as a sales closer
Highly unethical interview tactics, deceptive advertising, the bro-est bro culture possible
I didn’t pursue further into the interview process because it was evident they have a lot of ethical and cultural issues internally.
Met with team at Verkada Sales Career Day Spoke with a few members of the team who mentioned they would connect me with the proper contacts Talked a ton about how this is a great fit for my skillset and career goals so it seemed like a great start to the interview process. Was excited to explore careers with Verkada. Tried reaching out to contacts I was referred to - no reply. Have tried following up multiple times with initial recruiter and have just been ghosted. Have reached out at least 3 times since and haven't received even a single message since meeting in person may 5th.... I don't know why someone would do this! Overall, if you are looking to use your time efficiently or if your job search is urgent at all, I would avoid this place.
