I was approached for a walk-in interview at Vernost through a third-party recruiter. The process began with some basic questions on Angular, Node.js, SQL, and a short coding round—all of which I answered. However, after completing the interview. They told me to wait for feedback, I was informed that I had been rejected. The reason stated? "No work experience in Node.js." This was frustrating because my resume clearly outlines my experience—so why was I shortlisted and interviewed in the first place? It felt like a complete waste of time. Another feedback point said that my "frontend knowledge is weak"—which is not only false but felt like a convenient excuse to cover up a hiring misstep. Feedback like this can be incredibly demotivating for candidates who prepare and show up in good faith. It was clear that this process lacked professionalism and transparency. The involvement of third-party recruiters seemed more driven by commission than candidate fit. If Vernost is serious about hiring talent, they need to reassess how their recruitment is handled—both internally and externally. Overall, the experience was disappointing, disorganized, and unprofessional. I would not recommend this company to other job seekers based on my experience.
