Entrevista
I applied on Monster and was sent appointment times via e-mail the next day. My first interview was an on-site where I had the group interview with the President and the Marketing Director. They were very interested in why I wanted to work at this company in particular, and how I planned to bring value to it. This company cares very much about its people, and their interview questions flow accordingly. You cannot apply online and just show up - there needs to be genuine interest, applicants should know the background of the company, and candidates should identify with Versadial's vision.
I then had to prepare intellectual property to present the leadership team. It was a marketing concept and e-mail campaign, with the goal being lead generation for the sales team.
We spent two weeks discussing further ideas that my campaign initiated.
We agreed on a start date which was within a week of receiving an offer letter, and I could not be more happy at this company.

Entrevista
The interview was easy and it was a pleasant atmosphere. The panel consisted of 3 people in which their questions relates to their department. They were all friendly which was good because it was more like a casual discussion rather than an interrogation room. The questions pertained to my previous experience with sales, why I applied for the position, my future goals, etc. There were no difficult or trick questions, it was pretty much simple and to the point. Some of the questions allowed for short answers and others requires elaborate explanation with good examples.

What were some of the strategies that you have learned to develop new business working with direct consumers and/or VAR channels?

Entrevista
Upon entering the Versadial Office I was greeted professionally. Even though I did not have prior direct sales experience the owner asked questions to better understand my background in a related industry and realized through that experience I had the tools necessary to perform the job. Many other companies will not hire unless you have done the specific job, but Versadial recognized my potential being in Telecommunications for over 25 years, and understood that I had the drive to succeed. After the interview they continued to communicate through the hiring process unlike many companies that leave the candidate hanging without hope or guidance.

The most difficult question was to explain how you intend on being successful at your position based on the fact that I had not worked in direct sales. My answer was that it is in listening to your customer and delivering on their needs which is the philosophy of Versadial as well.
