Got a call from head of department. Second phone interview with job supervisor. Lunch meeting with both of them with awkward conversations. Asked me about other people from my company and gossiped about them, gave details of how they did not like them in former interviews and why they rejected them. I applied for a full time regular position and they were sorting out if I would be fine accepting a contract position. Very uncomfortable and unprofessional.

It was a lengthy process involving multiple rounds of meetings with various stakeholders, including HR, the team lead, the site head, and potential colleagues. I didn't hear back for many weeks even though I was told I would hear back one week.
