I had a great interview with the recruiter and the hiring manager. The recruiter outlined the entire timeline saying they wanted to hire someone in the next 6 weeks. I met with the hiring manager and thought it went great! After a week and a half went by, I sent an email asking for an update. 2 weeks……3 weeks go by. I sent another email and it’s been crickets.
I totally get it I’m not your guy but ghosting someone is incredibly unprofessional. I’ve got over 20yrs experience and expect more from a company of this size and reputation!
Do better because this industry is small and you’ll never be a leader at this rate!

Similar process for pharmaceutical industry - screened by HR, interview by hiring manager and final interview by panel of employees that you would work with in the potential position. HR was open and honest about the process. Company ghosted and did not send any information in following up when offer was not given.

I recently went through the interview process for a role on the Global Value and Access Strategy team at Vertex. While there were positives—like professional interviewers and engaging conversations—the overall experience had some notable frustrations.
It took about three weeks post-interview to get any update on my status, despite my follow-ups. When feedback finally came, it was that they chose someone with more “relevant experience,” which felt a bit incongruous given the role level and my background. A bit more transparency and timely communication would have made the process feel more respectful and less frustrating, especially for senior-level candidates

The interview questions themselves weren’t particularly technical. They mostly focused on my past experiences and were quite simple, like asking if I’d worked on payer value stories before. It would have been helpful to have a bit more depth or technical detail in the questions to better gauge the fit for a strategic role
