Panel conducted 4 separate hour long interviews (3 x face to face and 1 x virtual) over the course of 2 weeks with minimum prior notice. I found this not just inconvenient and stressful, but had to take annual leave on multiple occasions to go to yet another request for yet another face to face interview at the 11th hour. Interview structure was haphazard and questions appeared ad-hoc and ill-prepared. They didn’t appear to know what they were looking for. Questions directed at the panel (from the candidate) seemed to catch them off guard and flustered. After 4 interviews they offered me $10 000/year less than the minimum salary I noted in my application form. (?!!?). Needless to say I declined and left. What followed was a protracted attempt at luring me back by multiple phone calls to me from a director and HR with various alternative pay offers (all still below my stated minimum). We eventually settled on a figure close to my minimum but I should have seen the red flags for what they were….
