Application was submitted. Within two months I was notified that I would be interviewed over the phone because ViaSat did not recruit at my college campus. The phone interview consisted mainly of questions pertaining to engineering experience and classes that have been taken. Notified of job 1 month later.

Standard phone screen before technical interview, not overly difficult if you are able to get to the point that you get a technical interview and perform decently well you can get the internship.
