This was just a phone screening. I will not be following up with next steps. The interviewer did not understand the technology involved for the role he was screening for. The job posting listed requirements for back-end programming, web development, graphic design and digital marketing. It was a very optimistic skills list for one role. The interviewer pressed for my current pay rate, which I refused to provide. It is considered unprofessional and discriminatory to ask questions of that nature. He also asked very inappropriate questions about my living arrangements. Also, in the process of researching the company for the role, I came across a group photo of their employees from 2017, where one individual was throwing an obvious white supremacist hand sign.
