Had a phone screen with the recruiter, then an in-person interview at the company's offices with the CFO, one of their developers, and the controller of their sister company Dialexa. Had a great phone screen with the recruiter, though he did keep asking for my past salary (irrelevant), rather than salary expectations or what they were looking to pay.
The 1:1s were pretty good: they had a bad tendency of asking scripted questions rather than focusing on the needs the business was experiencing, but with some prodding we were able to talk about the more substantive challenges the role and business are facing rather than pointless "What's your biggest weakness" type questions.
Their real downfall was the follow-up. A week later, they called to say they were still deciding, but that I was the strongest candidate. No follow-up at all after that, positive or negative. Found out later they hired someone else. It's discourteous to not keep candidates in the loop.

We are expecting to merge large volumes of user data from non-traditional sources into accounting & financial data for payments received from user. How have you faced similar challenges merging different types of data into a single stream?
This is the recruiter. Absolutely should have followed up with you and apologize for not doing so. A couple of things changed with our needs and the decision took longer than expected. Still should have looped you in.
