I applied on LinkedIn and received a message for an initial phone screening. I sent through my resume and during the phone call we briefly discussed the role, expectations and company culture as well as my background and what I was looking for. I felt the call went well and at the end was told that I would hear back on next steps (interview with another team member) but never did despite following up. I took the hint. I understand a change of mind or deciding to move forward with other candidates, but this was the first time I was simply ignored. The courtesy of a boilerplate rejection letter would've been nice.
