In the beginning I was quite happy, had very pleasant conversations and was excited about the product. The first interview left them impressed with my answers and ideas. But the presentation of my business case was a disaster. The director to whom I presented (CPO) already started the meeting very impolite and full of pre judgments based on what he read. He gave me two minutes to present my case solution from a broad perspective and showed a complete lack of interest to actually hear it. I had prepared a case with little information on the slides and a very well prepared and well trained presentation where everything would be clear and fluid, but didn't get the chance to present it that way, so nothing made sense for him. Instead, he shot me with a lot of questions that wouldn't exist if he let me present it my way. He confronted me in a very rude way and thought my solution was rubbish, when in fact he didn't hear half of it and finished the meeting without even understanding what I'd done or why it was done that way. I didn't get the job because of that. In addition, his feedback (via the recruitment guy) was that my case was too strategic and he wanted to see more operational-level solutions, which is not adequate for the position I was applying to. They told me about the need for more collaboration between teams and when I tackled that in my solution he said that wasn't my problem to deal with (when in fact it is a PMM's role to bridge product, sales and marketing).
