I had a total of six interviews (5 phone and 1 in person) over the course of a month with HR and various managers. They only provided me with very positive feedback and completely gave me the impression that I could expect an offer. Another entire month passed during which I received random emails of encouragement (designed to stall me) with statements such as "wait for next steps" etc. Then finally after two months I received an email from HR explaining they extended an offer to another candidate. My main complaint is they weren't honest with me during the interview process and unfairly got my hopes up in order to keep me as a plan B. I figure they did me a favor if this is how they treat people.
