The recruitment process was extremely long and unclear. The stages were presented as phone interview > onsite interview > take-home assignment > presentation > references. The take-home assignment was described as requiring 4 hours, but in reality it demanded closer to 9 hours of focused work. After completing the task and presentation, positive feedback was given on both. At that point, another interview stage was suddenly introduced, even though it had never been mentioned before. This was presented as if it was always part of the process, which was misleading. After the presentation, there was no communication for weeks. No rejection, no update, no clarity. Only after proactive follow-up was a generic message sent, stating the company had decided to move forward with another candidate. It is understandable that not every candidate will be selected, but it is not acceptable to leave people in silence after they have invested so much time and effort. The lack of transparency, clarity, and timely communication reflects poorly on the company’s professionalism and respect for candidates’ time.

The interview process was about 2 weeks. I got a call from HR, who seemed to be a nice person and got invited for an in-person interview. The second interview was unprofessional as the hiring manager asked very inappropriate and rude questions about my resume, such as if I had generated it from Chat GPT, or asked unnecessary questions about my past that were irrelevant to this job role. From the moment I asked her about the working environment within the company, I assumed from her responses that she was a kind of toxic boss. So, I immediately decided that this position and company were not for me.
