Candidatei-me online. Fui entrevistado pela VisitPittsburgh em mar. de 2022
Entrevista
I applied online and was initially contacted by an outside recruiter who worked with an HR firm on Visit Pittsburgh's behalf. We scheduled a 20-minute phone screen to discuss the required skills, possible relocation due to the hybrid role, salary expectations, and next steps. The conversation went very well, and the recruiter assured me that they communicate all steps of the process to candidates, including contacting me to alert me if they wouldn't move forward with my application. I was told that next steps would possibly include a 1:1 with the supervising manager, a team interview, and a possible final interview with leadership, and to expect a possible skills test.
I followed up with a thank you message, and then... nothing. The company went radio silent and that was the last I heard from them. I followed up with two separate emails over the course of the next month, but never heard anything back from them. In my opinion, it's disrespectful to completely ghost a candidate. It literally only takes seconds to write "We've decided to go a different direction for this position. Thank you for your interest". Especially when you make a point to explicitly say your company always makes sure to contact candidates this way.
