It was a face-to-face interview. They let me introduce myself first. Then they started to ask some questions about my resume to know more details about what I did. After that, they looked at my portfolio and selected about three projects. We discussed the project in a casual way. Finally, they allows me to ask questions about the position and the company.

First met with the CMO, then the owners on a separate occasion. Everyone was very nice. However, what made it an entirely disappointing experience was that, after I was promised a follow-up either way within one week, I never heard from them again. I could understand this is if it were an entry-level position, but this type of disregard for professionalism, respect, and common courtesy is inexcusable at the director level. Well-qualified candidates in the mid-career stage of their professional life deserve follow-up communication to let them know that the company has decided to pursue another direction. Seems basic.
