      Entrevista para Business Development Manager

      Candidato(a) sigiloso(a) à entrevista
      Port Washington, NY
      Oferta recusada
      Experiência neutra

      Candidatura

Candidatei-me por meio de recrutador(a). O processo levou 4 semanas. Fiz uma entrevista na empresa WAC Lighting Company (Port Washington, NY).

      Entrevista

The interview process was long, first meeting with the "VP of Human Resources" Laurie C which seems a bit... unethical. She was bubbly and charming, however she was a bit off putting when it came to the job duties and responsibilities. She also did not know much about the role, instead calling members of the team and asking them (these were not technical questions, rather asking what the day to day is like) from there conversations about salary came up, which she danced around. for reference this is a HCOL area, and the base salary was LOW. Before I could object to continuing she brought in another HR manager named John who kept saying how fun it is to work here and how it is a big family. The interview did not seem formal at all. There were no technical questions. They did mention that everyone wears many hats and the phone calls are our number 1 priority, where everyone is expected to answer calls in queue. There were several times throughout my interview that I heard someone shouting "calls in queue" The sales floor behaves more like a call center. I am an experienced Account Manager with over 15 years in the industry. I asked to be removed from further consideration. The impression I got was that this was a call center job, with extra tasks given to your workload and not a career in Business Development.
