O processo levou 2 semanas. Fiz uma entrevista na empresa WD.
Entrevista
I’m extremely disappointed with the interview process at Western Digital and the lack of professionalism shown to an interested candidate. When I was moved forward to an on-site interview, I told the recruiter I was unable to make it on a Tuesday. The recruiter kept trying to schedule me for Tuesday. On the morning of the interview, I received an email that one of the panel members had something come up, so my interview would be shortened by an hour and I should come in at 2:30 instead of 1:30. The first person I interviewed with (who I later learned was who I would be supporting as a coordinator) did not ask me any relevant questions on my background, and instead kept giving me “tips”. He told me even though I was not relocating for the position that I should tell ‘them’ I am should I receive an offer to hustle extra money. The next woman I was supposed to interview with came in and told me she no longer wanted to do the interview and that a different coordinator would come in. The coordinator came in and admitted she did not know anything about me and wasn’t even sure which role I was interviewing with. I was escorted out after 5 minutes of small talk.
After the interview, I sent thank you emails to those I met with and another email to my recruiter offering to reschedule portions of process as some interviewers had to cancel. This was on December 12th. It is January 31st and I never received a response, feedback, or even a simple and generic rejection.
As someone who works in recruiting, I completely understand that schedules can get hectic and interviews can go not as planned. At the same time, I understand better than most candidates how important it is to make a candidate feel they are valued. Instead, Western Digital disrespected me by wasting my time and not even having the decency to respond. My advice to any other job seeker is to find a company in the Bay that values you. There are plenty and this is not one of them.
