Phone call with recruiter and phone call with hiring manager. Onsite with five people over three hours. Included a very brief case study review and thoughts to approaching real life problems within Wayfair. Interviews overall were pleasant.
Wayfair's issue is that after all that interview process and positive feedback in all stages, you are left in limbo. Promises of follow up two days after from recruiter never came. Follow up emails one week to recruiter and to hiring manager still not responded two weeks after interview.
There is clearly a lack of professionalism with regards to proper and courteous communication. It is a shame to see such unprofessional behavior with a company that appears to be on an upswing of growth. It explains many of the comments in the company review section on difficulty retaining top talent.
Simple advice would be some generic soft skill training for recruitment and management around sound fundamental and courteous communication with all interested parties.
For prospective employees, have low expectations up front of communication skills and you will not be disappointed in the overall experience with or without an offer.

The interview process took over 2 months but was offered the position after multiple rounds of interviews. There was a case study but I’ve heard they’re moving away from these

Meet with way too many people, all who asked me the same questions. I didn't get to ask questions, the cases they have are way too long and cumbersome to be done well in a 45 mins interview.
