I was contacted by email after applying to the job online to find availability. I replied through email, and the interview was set for early the next week. I have never set up an interview through email before, which was strange. The interview itself was very basic, as it is an entry level position. They ask you a set of questions to judge your personality and how you handle different situations. They want to know that you are a competent and intelligent person that can deal with people. The manager that conducted the interview was very straightforward and willing to give plenty of feedback. After they finish asking you questions they lay out the compensation and benefits leaving no questions or room for salary negotiation (again entry level) and show you the office environment. They leave letting you know that they should get back to you within the week about their decision. (Which again is a nice thing when job searching) I was contacted again through email 2 days later asking to interview for another position within the company.

The only personal contact was a text message invitation offer requesting I take an online assessment. The original meeting was so casually unprofessional, even the county job counselor/coordinator complained to Wayfair’s executive management about their unqualified and unprofessional hiring staff. Even their dress at the original job fair was atrocious.
