Entrevista
Not really an interview for freelance writing. After you send your application, the owner Yvette, emails you (or at least she emailed me). She introduced herself and sent me their writing test to evaluate my skills. It was to write a piece similar to what they do for clients daily. She provided all the information needed and the topic I was to write about. Gave me 3 days to return it. I did. She offered me a spot on their team. She was kind and answered all my questions. She asked if I wanted to join them. I said yes. I was given a contract and another contract (standard stuff about how payment works and when and Non-compete and all the usual things). I signed and sent back. She said an editor would be in touch to schedule a Zoom training call to go over how things work and what I will do. They call was chill. My editor was awesome and that's it. That was the interview process! Down-to -earth group and not picky or strict but very about the business! Professionals for sure. But I am also a good writer so maybe they are picky. I don't know....

Entrevista
The interview process for We Do Web Content went really well. I submitted to their add on two platforms, then decided to follow up on LinkedIn. I received an email asking to take an assessment to see if I would be a good fit and passed. After that, I was asked a few more questions via email. They seemed happy with the results because a week later, I was asked to interview with one of the company's founders. I was very nervous, especially since it was on video (Zoom), but after just a few minutes, I felt at ease. The interviewer, Yvette, was really easy to speak with and did not make me feel uncomfortable in any way. She was very kind and gracious. Our interview went for over two hours! I appreciate that because it is so important that both sides really get a good feel for one another! After the interview, a few days later, I received word that I was chosen for the position.

To be honest, I cannot recall the exact questions, our conversation was very fluid and we spoke for a while.

Entrevista
I applied on Indeed. I was messaged to do two assessments through Indeed. I was messaged again by the hiring department to go give feedback on my assessments. I guess it was satisfactory because I was told to email the CEO, the manager of the department I was applying for and another Account Manager. Scheduling the interview was fairly easy.
The interview was held over zoom due to covid-19. It lasted almost 2 hours. The account manager who was on the video call had to leave it early because of a call with a client. Once the interview was done, I was told I’d find out in a week or less if I made it to the next round to meet with the CEO of the company.
I received an email Thursday saying that I wasn’t chosen because my professional experience didn’t line up with the Jr. Account Manager position. Honestly, that through me threw a loop because I was under the impression that my resume was looked at thoroughly. What made things even more confusing was the person leading the interview admit that in my previous roll, I was doing exactly what the Jr. account manager would have me doing. I’m not sure if it was scenario that they became intimidated by the fact I have an Bachelor of Science Degree in Business and an MBA as well. They work with attorneys and I have been working with them for a while now. So, I wasn’t sure how my past work experience didn’t correlate to the position. And again, being left with no feedback.
Overall, it was a positive experience that turned negative at the end. Getting an email with no feedback as to why I wasn’t chosen was extremely unprofessional.
