Interviews went well, spoke with multiple people within the business but primarily the head of design. Went through 3 interview stages, during my initial interview I ensured my salary expectations were able to be matched. They confirmed it was. After all the interviews I was offered the job at a 10% reduction of the expectation I told them and confirmed would be okay. I told them I needed it to be closer, they came back with a 3% increase informing me “accounts would approve anymore”. So all in all, I did really want to work here and liked everything about the company but wasted my time and theirs. After politely declining the 3% increases telling them once again it was below my expectations but I would love to work for them if any other further opportunities came along, I never once received a reply which is absolutely unacceptable. After not receiving a reply it changed my perception of the entire company, I am glad I didn’t accept the position. TLDR: Make sure your salary expectation is much higher than what you want or you will probably not get what you want and waste your time.
