Entrevista
Recruiter screen, technical take-home assignment, hiring manager/peer interview. While the process was more or less as expected, there are some real areas for improvement. The technical staff need to receive interview training. With the exception of the recruiter, none of my interviewers started with an introduction of themselves or their role. They also asked questions that revealed a lack of training and fair process - my hiring manager interview ended with, "What is your spirit animal?" which is not professional. Took over a week after last interview to receive a rejection.

Entrevista
I met with Hollis Kercheval regarding a Sr. Technical Project Manager position at Webfirst and was very impressed. She came preparred and at no time did it feel like she was just going through the motions or ticking off boxes on an interview. If you have interviewed lately in the online marketing or online web space you will know how often you meet with recruiters just so they can say they interviewed a "set number of candidates" while having the job already aligned with someone they plan to hire and/or only interview you because they have to. Hollis was nothing like that. She was prompt, understanding and communicated in a very clear and candid way that was not only professional but allowed for a more open dialog on the needs of the company/position (i.e. she was personable and human, this is rare and certainly appreciated while looking for a job). She had all her points ready as well as allowed for me to discuss not only my experience and what I would bring to Webfirst but also how I could help to improve the culture with the knowledge and skillset I could bring with me (if I am offered the job). Hollis was also very prompt in setting up an second interview with the person in charge of the role (this is rare as most recruiters indicate they will find time but you have to contact them back to set it up). I honestly can't say I have ever had a better interview in my professional life as the one I just had with Hollis. Its a rare trait these days to be professional but also personable and Hollis has that in spades. Whether or not I am right for the job and get hired I wanted to take this time to communicate this to the Webfirst team along with anyone that might interview with her in the future. Thank you again Hollis for your professionalism and polish (its rare). I hope I am offered the job as a company (Webfirst) that has you onboard is a company I want to work for. Thank you, Steve N
