      Entrevista

I don’t usually post about my interview experiences, but I feel like I have to share this to help others who might interview at a company called Webgrity. The CEO, Amit Keshan, was extremely unprofessional from the start. He didn’t introduce himself properly, nor did he ask me to introduce myself. Instead, he jumped right into the questions without making any effort to make me feel comfortable. The questions were surprisingly basic for a position offering 12-15k, like "how many types of CSS are there?" But the real issue was his attitude. After looking at my resume, he sarcastically said, "It looks like you’ve done an MBBS from your resume. Why are you even here for this job? No one told you about job openings in Sector 5?" It felt like he was mocking me for my experience. At one point, while explaining something, I briefly mentioned backend development during the interview, even though it was a frontend role. His response was, "Why are you here for frontend or backend? In Bengali, we call this ‘pakachele’." I was shocked. I couldn’t believe a CEO would talk to a fresher like that. The entire 20-25 minute interview was uncomfortable. It felt like he was trying to put me down at every chance. It was clear that he didn’t know how to communicate respectfully or build a positive connection. Before the interview, I had read reviews on AmbitionBox and Glassdoor about the company, and many people said the CEO was rude. Now, I can confirm that those reviews were 100% true. On a positive note, the HR representative was very polite. She even offered me chocolates, which was a nice gesture. Unfortunately, the CEO’s behavior ruined what could have been a decent interview. After the interview, the HR informed me that I wasn’t selected because there were no current vacancies. I was confused—why call me for an interview if there were no open positions? They told me my result was on hold and that they might call me in the future if there were any openings. A few days later, they called and told me I was selected, but the only reason I didn’t join was because of the CEO’s behavior. I also found out from other employees that there’s zero job security, a lot of office politics, and rude behavior from upper-level management, especially the CEO. If the CEO speaks to a potential employee like that during a first meeting, I can’t imagine how the company operates long-term. It’s not a place I would recommend.
