I interviewed with Welkin Health for over a month. Everyone was pleasant, and passionate about the company. After I completed two rounds of interviews, they were to fly me to HQ for face to face interviews by the end of the week. They even asked what day worked for my schedule. Two days went by, and I received an email that said "We actually are extending an offer to a candidate who is further along in our interview process. Should they accept, we won't be hiring for this role any longer. If they don't accept, I'd love to fly you out to meet the team." Two days went by, and then "Thanks so much for your patience. We ended up getting an offer accept for the candidate who is further along in our interview process, so we're no longer hiring for this position. If anything changes or if we open up a similar role in the future." Their actions were nothing short of unprofessional, bordering on legerdemain. To ensure other candidates do not have the same experience as I did, I advise Welkin to use an ATS. Track your interview feedback, and progress. That way your hiring team will know you have extended an offer to a different candidate, before the nugatory exercise of moving a different candidate through the interview process for naught. The path to greatness is overflowing with loss, defeat, and pain. This experience reinforces the mantra that you don't know what's inside until you're tested, or disappointed. I still believe Welkin Health has an incredible product, and will do well. This is not an indictment of them, as much as it is an edict to get the recruiting side of the house in order.

I was referred to Welkin by investors after our start up ceased operations. The process included a preliminary phone interview, very short sourcing/reach out exercise, an on-site that review ed skills with each team member and an emotional intelligence review. It is embedded in Welkin's identity to build a truly inclusive, psychologically safe environment where you can be your most authentic self (even as a candidate). I have never felt more inspired than I have through this interview process and learning more about this team. I have nothing but respect for this organization and the culture + community they are building. Their candidate centric process is truly an aspiration. Although it didn't work out for me personally, Welkin is my first recommendation when I hear a friend is looking for a new position.
