I found the job posting on Indeed. I applied through the company's website and attached a resume and cover letter. A few weeks later I was contacted by telephone and asked to come into the office for an interview. When I arrived at the Western Paper office I was greeted by the receptionist and asked to take a short logic test. I was placed in a separate room and given time to answer 10 logic puzzles and 2 attention to detail questions. Within 5 minutes of completing the logic assessment, the Talent Director greeted me and took me into an interview room. We began by discussing the test I had just completed and walked through the thought process behind my answers. I thought this was a great way to ease into the actual interview....they didn't just jump into the traditional interview questions. The Talent Director then began to ask me questions about my background and skill set. We ended the interview with an overview of the position and company. The meeting felt more like a conversation vs. an interview. I received a follow-up call from the Talent Director the next day asking if I had any additional questions or concerns that were not addressed the day before. I did return to their headquarters two more times over the next three weeks interviewing and meeting additional staff. They were very good about maintaining contact with me during the process and providing me the information and time I needed to make a decision. Their transparency with the company, role, compensation, and benefits made me feel like I was making an informed choice.
