I cross trained my team on all responsibilities of the department ensuring that every team member had a working knowledge of each aspect of our team and created supporting documentation. My team used to struggle when someone went on vacation or was out on maternity leave but now it makes PTO and extended periods of leave much less stressful for everyone on the team and there is no interruption of service to our customers.
