I applied online on wilko.jobs, the process was fairly simple, no tests, just a quick form to fill out with your details, reference contacts and CV. Within 24 hours I got an email invitation to an interview. The system didn't specify the time, so I contacted the store manager and I got a reply within 15 minutes. I came to Wilko store 15 minutes early and I was thank for that. The lady has introduced me to another supervisor and she explained to me the whole interview process. It was fairly informal and we had a chat about our interests, programming and my place of origin. After going to the questions, she photocopied my passport and explained the role including working hours and pay. The whole interview lasted for 30 minutes. After that, I was told that if I am successful I will be contacted on Monday (my interview was on Wednesday). At about 4 o'clock on Monday I got a call to confirm that I was successful, but they are unable to offer me a role I applied for initially, but they can offer me an alternative (retail merchandiser). We've arranged my induction training and I've been employed by Wilko!
