Applied for multiple positions, some I was over qualified for. Received an e-mail to schedule a phone interview . The phone interview was for a different position than what was on the e-mail. The interview did go well enough to get my information passes on to a different department. I also received an e mail asking for references which was outsourced to harver view. Instead of calling the reference they send long surveys to them by e mail. I felt that was a little disrespectful to my references. I feel a call from the hiring manager or department manager was more appropriate. I did let them know my feelings and opted out of using harver view. To my surprise they still wanted to proceed. I had to take a day off work to interview with them. During the interview i kept on getting asked if I was okay with working in an office. I was also told of all the companies problems . At the end I was told I would be contacted regarding the next steps and would need to taken some more tests which I was okay with. I was ghosted. I don’t know if opting out of the harver view reference check was the reason, but I’m glad I did opt out. If they are going to ghost me and not have the respect to call reference than this might not be a good place to work.
