A friend who worked at Willows Way asked me to apply because she thought I would be a good fit to work with a particular client who would be needing new supports. Her supervisor agreed - I was tentatively approved as hired by the supervisor pending the official interview process. A few days after I sent in my application, I was phoned by the human resources person and given an interview. I was asked simple questions about background/experience and I was told I would be contacted with more details soon. I answered well and assumed I had the job - but after 2 months and no word, I assumed they had hired someone else. Meanwhile my friend called and wanted to know when I would be applying for the job, because they couldn't continue to hold the position open for me. I told her I had applied and been interviewed 2 months before and hadn't been hired. She told the supervisor who went to the human resources person, who it turned out had mislaid my application and forgotten about me. The supervisor asked me to come in the next day and hired me directly.
