The recruiter reached out to me on LinkedIn and asked for my resume. I got an interview with the hiring manager within a week. The interview was scheduled late at night because the team works on a graveyard shift.
At the end of the hour-long interview, the hiring manager told me that they want someone with more project management experience, so they were letting me know right then and there that I didn't make the cut. I appreciated the upfront feedback they gave me because I didn't have to wait for days, and also because they looked me in the eye and treated me like the human being that I am. After being ghosted by recruiters, that interview as a breath of fresh air.
