Then Wise hiring manager required a take home task that fell like free consultancy asking to solve business issues that were identified by the hiring manager in the initial interview. The team sounded very inexperienced, lacking seniority but being put in positions of power without the necessary knowledge. Some of them had PhDs in completely useless matters for their roles; they lacked insight and experience. Fell very cliquey and almost influencer led instead of led by achievements. I ended up declining the offer because I would fit in such a juvenile culture and didn’t see any future for the company with the current workforce.
