I recently went through the interview process with Wolt for a position as a strategy manager. Unfortunately, based on my experience, I would not recommend other candidates to invest a significant amount of time interviewing for this company. Allow me to share the reasons behind my recommendation. Firstly, the initial contact from the recruiter, who reached out to me via LinkedIn, showed great interest in my profile. However, this enthusiasm quickly faded when the recruiter went silent for almost a month. This lack of communication left me wondering about the status of my application and feeling uncertain about the company's level of professionalism. After the prolonged period of silence, I finally had a chat with the recruiter, who mentioned that I would be moving on to the next stage. But once again, there was an inexplicable delay of another month before any progress was made. Such prolonged delays without any clear explanation or updates were frustrating and displayed a lack of consideration for candidates' time and commitment. Finally, I had the opportunity to speak with the hiring manager. However, it was evident from the start that the manager seemed uninterested and bored with what I had to say. What was particularly disheartening was that the hiring manager didn't even give me a chance to introduce myself, dismissing the need by stating that they had already read my CV. This lack of basic courtesy felt disrespectful and left a negative impression of the company's approach to candidate engagement. Moreover, the hiring manager asked theoretical and obscure questions that were difficult to comprehend. The overall atmosphere during the interview made me feel as if the hiring manager was displeased with every answer I provided. This not only created a challenging environment for me as a candidate but also made it difficult for me to effectively demonstrate my skills and suitability for the role. Additionally, I must mention that the entire hiring process was excessively long, spanning over 2 months, even though I had only gone through 2 rounds out of the anticipated 6. This extensive timeline, without clear justification, further added to the frustration and signaled a lack of respect for candidates' time and commitment. In conclusion, my experience with Wolt's interview process left me with a negative impression of a company that fails to prioritize and respect candidates. The lack of communication, delayed responses, uninterested hiring manager, and long-drawn-out hiring process all contributed to an overall disheartening experience. I sincerely hope that Wolt takes steps to address these issues and improve their candidate experience in the future. Please note that this review reflects my personal experience and may not be indicative of others' experiences with Wolt, but based on it, I wouldn't recommend spending time on that company.
