I applied online, and then set up a phone interview with the lead front end developer. She went over my resume, asked about my past experience and what technologies I was familiar with. We chatted about the job and the company as well. Got a call from HR later that day and was offered a position.

What 3 languages are most important to front end web development?

I applied to an entry level front end developer position. Phone interview with HR and then phone technical round with team lead. The HR did not make it clear as to what to expect from the second round of interview. I was asked typical algorithmic questions and stuff that one would not expect in a "front-end developer" role. The technical lead sent me a link and asked me to write code for a particular algorithmic problem within 15 minutes (Screen Sharing was enabled) .It was very awkward!
The interviewer asked me to rate myself in the technologies that I listed on my resume. The ratings were listed as following.
1. Beginner
2. Intermediate
3. Expert ( One can teach courses)
4. Contributor of that particular technology.
How can one expect a fresh out of school entry level person to rate themselves as "Contributor" ?? The interviewer needs
