We think that the traditional, bog standard interview format fails to help us spot real talent, and fails to allow people to show their ability. It simply encourages generic, formulaic, pre-prepared responses, and that is exactly what we want to avoid. This format gets people thinking on their feet – precisely the skill we’re looking for in sales associates. But of course, that can surprise people and it isn’t right for everyone.
