      Candidatura

Candidatei-me por meio de recrutador(a). O processo levou 7 semanas. Fui entrevistado pela XPO (Greenwich, CT) em nov. de 2018

      Entrevista

Process was long, disorganized, and disappointing. First round consisted of interviews with 3 individuals. One of them cut the interview short due to a practice fire drill she was preparing for and was not focused on the interview at all. With one of the higher-ups, it was hard to tell what he was trying to ask with his questions and they were not in line with the job description either. Next round consisted of interviews with 5 individuals: a due diligence contractor, the 3 higher-ups that the individual in the role would be reporting to, and another higher-up who began the interview by making a comment about the resume that was more reflective of her own personal analysis than of the actual job requirements. One of the higher-ups had switched her interview time with another's because of her schedule, but was still late which resulted in waiting over an hour for her to arrive (in an empty office with no updates at all). She spoke for about 10 minutes until the other higher-up interrupted for his own time slot. In between the first 2 rounds of interviews, they asked for a 42-question questionnaire to be completed. They asked for detailed answers and the total document was several pages long and took hours to complete. After 8 interviews and the questionnaire, they enthusiastically said they were ready to move to the final interview with the CEO and that it would take some time to coordinate with his schedule. 2 weeks passed with no word from anyone. The following week they decided they wanted a touch-base-phone-call with an individual from the first round of interviews. The purpose of this phone-call was a "deeper dive" into the position and to see if there were any questions about the role. They also wanted to confirm absolute awareness of the role... even though 8 interviews already took place for it. The individual did not call on time and when she did call, it was to notify that she would call back in 10 minutes. After 15 minutes, another individual called to tell me that she would actually be calling back in 30 minutes. The process was disorganized and a waste of time. Another 2 weeks passed with no word from anyone. The following week I reached out to the higher-up from the first round of interviews to ask for an update and there was no response from him, but a few hours later the agency recruiter who had been coordinating all of the interviews called to say that the company just told her that they decided not to go forward with the final interview. When she asked for a reason, she was vaguely told something about a lack of connection that the team was looking for. It took 9 total interviews and a 42-question questionnaire for the company to determine whether the "connection" they were looking for was there. The process would have been more reasonable had the team not said they would be going forward with the final interview and then unexpectedly decide not to after letting almost 3 weeks pass in between with no notice until I reached out first. For a company that expects so much from their candidates, you would think they would realize that the candidates expect more from them too.
