Submitted online application, called in for a screening interview in HR. Offered a position different from the one I applied to, at a higher level based on HR interview. Yale can be slow to fill jobs, they don't have the same pressures as a private employer. It is common to not hear anything for a month or more and then be called for an interview. Very strict on requirements, especially education and years of experience.

I received a request for an interview about a week after being forwarded to the hiring manager. I had my second interview 4 business days later and then I was ghosted for 3 weeks before receiving an automated rejection email. Left a bad taste because usually I get a personalized rejection with feedback after getting so far. They ignored my two emails with follow up questions even though they said please email with any questions.
