I was referred to this company by a friend and was asked to complete an assignment as part of the screening process. The assignment required me to create a social media content calendar for three different clients, each consisting of 9 grids, along with additional creative ideas. On top of that, I had to design posts and provide a mood board for each client. The workload was extensive and took up my entire weekend. I went above and beyond, preparing 20 slides for each client as part of the presentation. They assured me that the ideas and designs would not be used and were solely for evaluation purposes. However, I later noticed that some of my ideas were implemented on their social media. After all the effort I put into the assignment, I received a rejection email without any constructive feedback, despite requesting it. It was disappointing to not even receive insights to help improve for future opportunities.
