Went through the whole interview process. Started with HR round, Got asked about background and why I wanted to join Zalando, along with my motivation. Second round was with Engineering Manager. This was more of a behavioural round, questions were about past experiences like "describe a time where you ..." etc. Next was a live coding round with two other engineers, it was an easy-mid level leetcode style. Here engineers were not very cheerful but they helped. Next round was system design with an engineer. Here I was allowed to pick up an option among couple of designs and do that. The engineer was super helpful and communicated a lot. The last round was general tech, where you are bombarded with questions, mostly architectural and interacting with other teams. The engineer was not very helpful and didn't really connect. Got rejection after couple of days. The HR was super helpful and stayed in connection through whole process and after. They gave feedback for each step, what I did good and bad.

Had a FANG-style interview with three rounds: a live coding session (sliding window problem), a system design interview focused on an e-commerce platform, and a behavioral round. The process was structured and engaging, testing both technical depth and communication skills. Overall, a great learning experience that felt fair and well-balanced.
