      Entrevista

      I had two very good conversations. The first was with someone from someone who operated like a talent acquisition support, I can't remember their exact title/role. The second call was with the hiring manager who this role would report into. The second conversation went very well, we covered the role, the skills needed, the behavioral traits they are looking for. We identified overlap in my experience and interests in growing. They were very nice on the call and asked great questions. I started to get the impression that they felt I might be a bit overqualified for this role. I felt that my assumption was confirmed when they mentioned a new role that was going to be opening up soon that I could be a better fit for. This role would have operated with a higher level of ownership and possibly had direct reports. I expressed interest in learning more; however, I shared that I was still interested in the role I was interviewing for and wanted to see that process through. At the end of the call the hiring manager let me know that she would reach out to her boss (who would be overseeing this new role) to gather more information and get back to me. I never heard from anyone at the company again. I've reached out trying to understand what is happening with either role. Compete radio silence. I do not expect someone to reach out to me for every application I fill out. However, if I make to the hiring manager, the call seemingly goes well, they even suggest an elevated role that I might be a good fit for as well, I would expect an email saying this isn't a good fit. It could even be an automated email, I really don't care. A lot of time was spent on those calls telling me how great the culture is and how nice everyone is at Zebra Technologies. I don't think that ghosting people in the middle of an interview process is very kind.
