I had a 30 minute discussion with a recruiter who ran through my skills (which were on the application), and then let me know of their benefits, etc., and then I moved onto a video interview with the hiring manager. You could tell this was just a "check the box with a protected veteran" interview as it was only 30 minutes long and the interviewer asked very shallow questions which had nothing to do with my certifications and experience. They then sent me an automated denial email which was pretty disrespectful considering one of the people I talked to could have been courteous enough to send a personal follow up. Additionally, I was told the recruiter would personally be following up with me which did not happen. All and all a very disrespectful process, and tells me this disrespect is acceptable within Zelis.
