I passed the initial interview with HR and the Marketing team, after which I was asked to prepare and present a suggested marketing plan. I put together a solid high-level plan, especially considering I wasn’t yet employed with the company. Unfortunately, the CEO was not impressed, expecting a fully detailed plan that would take weeks to develop. The CEO arrived 30 minutes late to the meeting (HR asked me to wait because he wanted to see the presentation). During my presentation, he was on his phone the entire time ( HR later called back and said he took notes on the phone - He had the laptop in front of him all the time ) , not paying attention. Once I finished, he turned to his staff to ask if that was what I was supposed to do. Then, in front of the whole marketing team, he asked about my current salary. This was extremely unprofessional and uncomfortable. He didn’t bother to shake my hand, felt like barely acknowledged me. After the interview, I didn’t receive any feedback. I eventually called HR to follow up, and they told me I hadn’t passed but had no feedback to share ( Later called back and said I was not qualified because I didn't install their app to try) .
