Call with CTO and team. In person meeting with CEO and other developer on team. Design challenge given and they will evaluate a project you created. They pulled up a Figma design and had me look for any flaws.

The first interview was just a call with the CEO to see if experience/personality was a good fit.
The second interview was a call with the tech team where I shared a project and explained the whole thing. I screen shared the browser and VSCode, etc.
Overall I really wanted to like these guys, but I was a bit thrown off after the project share, as the CEO asked if I had any questions for them shortly after I shared the project (and they asked relatively few questions about my project). I was already asked if I had questions for them in the first interview so I hadn't prepared any many, but tried my best to improvise. This may have seemed too forced, and if I had said I didn't have any that also would have been a bad move I think.
I was told I'd hear back in a week or two probably. I decided to send a thank you email that evening and the next day I was rejected, almost as if it was a reaction to the thank you email, although I don't want to read into it.
If I had made it to the third interview, I think it was going to be the final one, as I would have been flown to Cali for it to take place in person.

Direct and open. Refreshing. It was more like a discussion about the work and skills required to fulfill the job. Overall it was very easy and not at all like other employers.
