I went in for an initial interview. First I spoke with the recruiter, briefly. I was then taken to another building and spoke about the position and my background and skills with the man who would be my manager, as well as another associate who walked me through a "case study"--designing a particular software system at a very high level (what sorts of databases would be required, what elements would each database hold, etc.). The second interview was maybe a week or two later, and had a similar format--first another review of my background and interests, then another case study, this time more statistical in nature, and then to another man who discussed more of the intricacies of the position and my interest in it. In the end I believe that I was not all that interested in the position, and that came across in my interview. I was not declined, nor was I accepted. I never heard from the company after my second round of interviews.
