I applied for a Senior Tech role in Berlin. A Senior TA Manager scheduled a video interview with me but never showed up to the Zoom call.
🔶While emergencies happen, the unacceptable part was the aftermath. I sent polite follow-up emails over 3 business days to both the recruiter and coordinator, offering to reschedule. I was met with absolute silence.
🔶Being ghosted is bad; being ghosted after the employer misses their own confirmed appointment is deeply unprofessional. If two Senior HR professionals cannot manage a simple calendar update or send a one-line apology, it shows a profound disrespect for candidates' time.
🔶Massive red flag. Senior engineers, value your time and look elsewhere.
