I met with two female marketing managers and then the department head after. The two marketing managers seemed to be on a bit of a power kick. They tried to indicate that I would be answering to them, but the department head had already made it clear that he was my boss. These two clearly didn't understand how a project manager role functions across multiple departments. It would have been a complete cluster.
