Please explain as clearly as you’re able for a non-technical individual what a CSRF vulnerability is, how it could be exploited and how it could be defended against.

how would you explain what a CSRF attack is to a junior dev, in terms of: what it is, possible attack vectors, and potential mitigation techniques?

They asked me to describe in-depth some of the challenges and considerations with a specific recent problem I solved that I had mentioned in my cover letter. We spent about 15 minutes talking about the finer points of the change and some of its security and privacy implications for users.
