One of the most awful experiences I have ever had interviewing at a company. I applied online and got an initial call with a recruiter. The first two interviews were pretty typical, and I actually really enjoyed speaking with them. The first two interviews were with a recruiter and Product Manager. I was told that I would hear back about next steps early the next week about a takehome challenge. I waited and didn’t receive anything. I decided to wait a full week before following up. No response. I followed up once per week for THREE WEEKS, and they ignored me every time. Finally, after almost a month, the recruiter sends me a boilerplate rejection. It’s fine if I am not the right fit for the role. I’ve been rejected many times, and I am not upset about that. What I am upset about is the amount of disrespect I was given by just ghosting and ignoring my emails for almost a month. They couldn’t even have the decency to take 5 minutes to reply with “sorry, the process is taking longer than anticipated. We don’t have any updates yet.” The amount of professionalism I was shown at this company was awful, and I’m pretty sure I dodged a bullet if this is how they operate.
