Was referred to the hiring manager by an ex colleague. Was lied to at every step of the process. Started interviewing with the idea of it being a 12 month contract and then was reduced to 5 months before making me an offer. The contract was pretty lopsided to the point where they wanted an independent contractor but at the same time also wanted to treat them as employees with out paying for any benefit or risk. Went through my lawyer to completely re-do the contract and investing significantly on lawyer fees only to be told they chose someone else lol. With what I gathered, they're basically a digital agency outsourcing or hiring in India to cater to North American Market

I recently interviewed for the Associate SEO Manager position. The first two rounds were structured and went smoothly, which created a positive impression of the process.
However, the third round, focused on assignment discussion, felt noticeably different. The panel consisted of the SEO Head and another manager. The discussion began constructively, but as it progressed, I was frequently interrupted and not given adequate time to complete my responses, which made it difficult to fully explain my reasoning and approach.
The assignment itself was limited to a specific section of the website and was given with a two-day timeline. During the discussion, several questions were raised that appeared to require a much deeper audit and significantly more time than the original scope allowed. The conversation gradually shifted toward minute details and off-assignment queries, with limited openness to alternative perspectives.
Overall, the experience felt less like a collaborative discussion and more like a rigid evaluation environment. While rigorous evaluation is understandable, a more balanced and respectful exchange would allow candidates to demonstrate their expertise more effectively. The panel’s long tenure at the organization was evident in their confidence and firmly established viewpoints.

I was excited to interview for a Senior PR Manager role at iQuanti and was asked to complete a detailed take-home assignment. I invested significant time and effort creating thoughtful, strategic work that directly aligned with the role’s requirements.
After submitting it, I received little communication and was ultimately ghosted, even after following up multiple times over the course of a week. They want free consulting with no intent to hire.
It was frustrating to put in unpaid work with no feedback, response, or closure. Companies should respect candidates’ time and be transparent about next steps, especially when assignments require meaningful effort.
Advice to Management:
If you request extensive take-home projects, please communicate clearly about timelines, provide feedback, or consider compensating candidates for their work. Respect goes a long way in shaping your employer brand.
