TLDR: Red flags, recruiter ghosted me
A recruiter reached out to me on Linkedin saying they liked my profile and wanted to interview me for an open role. I shared my availability for the following week and never heard back. Ok that's fine, assumed I was ghosted. Over a month later the same recruiter reached out to me again apologizing and asking if I was still interested. I started to become concerned that the job was fake and I decided to ignore the message. A few weeks later I was unfortunately laid off and that same day the recruiter reached out again. I decided to give them the benefit of the doubt and schedule a meeting. I had a video call with the recruiter and they were fantastic. I was pleasantly surprised and the role seemed like a really great fit. The recruiter also expressed interest in moving me along the process and that they wanted to make a quick decision. When I didn't hear back after a few days I sent a Linkedin message then an email another week later when I heard nothing back. It's been weeks since we talked and I have been ghosted again.
While I understand that I may not have been a good fit, I would have appreciated a message letting me know I was no longer moving forward or even that the position was filled. Truly many red flags from the very beginning, starting to believe in those articles about companies posting 'ghost jobs'.
